It is with deepest sadness that I report the loss of another superstar Boston Terrier.
MBIS, MBISS Ch. Klassic Irish Prince, aka "Kip" lost a battle with pneumonia on March 1, 2010, just two weeks
before his 8th birthday.
Kip truly was the dog of a lifetime for his owner Beccy Smith. Kip was sold as a puppy by his breeder Trudy Sample and
became Beccy's first showdog. He finished quickly and then skyrocketed to join an elite company of Bostons with his
accomplishments.
Kip really sparkled when he teamed up with his "mom". Beccy showed and won Best in Specialy Show/Best of Breed at
two Boston Terrier Club of America National Shows ( 2005 and 2007 ) with Kip.
Under the expert handling of Kip's new friend and special buddy, Paul Catterson, Kip picked up 2 All Breed Best in Show
wins, and another 16 Best In Specialty Show wins. He won Best of Breed at the Westminster Kennel Club Show for two
years in a row ( 2006 & 2007 ). He won Best of Breed at the Eukanuba/AKC National Show ( 2005 ). Kip won over 40
Group I's and over 150 Group Placements. And he was the #1 Boston in 2007 and ranked in the top 10 Boston Terriers
in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
But most of all, Kip was Beccy's baby. He had to be within two feet of her every minute he was at home or on the road
with her. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Kip was indeed the exemplification of the American
Gentleman.
Kip loved having his picture taken almost as much as showing. He represented Boston Terriers in a book, "The Bully
Breeds". he was pictured on Boston Terrier calendars for at least three years. Some have used his picture in their
businesses so he is on ties, shirts, ear rings, key chains, necklaces and more.
Check out his pictures on Beccy's website: www.KlassicBostons.com
It was a true honor to have known and loved Kip. He was one of the great Bostons of my lifetime. My heartfelt
condolences go out to Beccy, Randy and their family.
